Our coded welders can fabricate to your design, or our in-house design engineering team can draw up plans to your requirements.
ITC can fabricate in the full range of materials including stainless steel, and can produce a wide variety of parts, including offshore skid frames, stainless steel hydraulic tanks, seabed baskets and test rigs, to name just a few. ITC’s large facilities and overhead cranes allow it to work on a wide range of structure sizes.
Coded welders, approved weld procedures and DPT, MPI and ultrasonic testing are standard on every job, giving clients full traceability on structural work destined for demanding environments.
Fabrication and machining work together on more complex builds. When a subsea hose deployment skid needed both design input and fast-turnaround fabrication, ITC’s procurement team sourced steel stock in parallel with the design phase specifically to avoid delays waiting on parts.

Case study · Hose Deployment Skid
Design and fabrication under one roof
An international well control company needed a new-build subsea hose deployment skid, designed around lessons learned from previous systems, and was looking for a single company that could provide both the design and the fabrication.
ITC’s engineering department ran the kick-off and review meetings, prepared drawings, and had procurement source suitable steel stock during the design phase so there would be no delay awaiting parts. The skid was fabricated to suit the company’s needs and delivered in time for full system trial prior to deployment.

Accreditation
ITC has been an ISO 9001 accredited company since 2012. In 2018 ITC passed UKAS accreditation by DNV-GL for its Integrated Management System, covering Quality (ISO 9001:2015), Environment (ISO 14001:2015) and Health & Safety (ISO 45001). All fabrication and machining work is controlled through that system, whether the job is a one-off replacement part or a full production run to an approved drawing.

What materials can ITC fabricate in?
Structural carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium. ITC fabricates in the full range of materials, including stainless steel for hydraulic tanks and enclosures.
Are ITC’s welders coded?
Yes. ITC’s welders are coded and work to approved weld procedures, using FCAW, MCAW, TIG and MIG processes.
What non-destructive testing does ITC offer?
Dye penetrant testing (DPT), magnetic particle inspection (MPI) and ultrasonic testing, all controlled through ITC’s DNV-GL certified integrated management system.
Can ITC fabricate from our own drawings?
Yes. ITC’s coded welders can fabricate to your design, or the in-house design engineering team can draw up plans to your requirements using Inventor CAD with FE and stress analysis.
Can fabrication work be carried out on site?
Yes. ITC works both on and off site, and its technicians are trained and registered for offshore deployment.

ITC operates from two purpose-built facilities in Aberdeenshire: Unit 9, Mounie Drive, Oldmeldrum, AB51 0GX, and The Garage, St Katherines, AB51 8SN.
